Cabrier Repousee
A fine and rare 22K gold pair case English repousee verge and fusee bell repeater
by Cabrier, London, circa 1770.
The outer case with a finely detailed allegorical scene, pierced to allow the sound
of the bell. With diamond set push for the catch. White enamel dial with gilt
arrow hands. The inner case beautifully pierced and engraved.
The dust cover embossed and engraved with the maker's name.
The movement with large balance with square foot, the masked balance cock
pierced and engraved with inhabited foliage. Stogden style repeating works.
When the pendant is depressed this watch chimes the hours and quarters
on a bell within the case with loud clear tones.
