Hughes Early Chronometer
Fine and scarce early silver gilt spring detent pocket chronometer antique pocket
watch with club tooth steel escape wheel, unusual regulator and unusual
temperature compensation by Hughes, London, circa 1784.
The gilt full plate 4 jewel movement with large pierced and engraved balance cock and
diamond cap jewel. White enamel dial (hairline) with subsidiary seconds and bold black
numerals. A very interesting example.
