Fine and scarce Tobias English 18K gold convertible (from open face to hunter) antique pocket watch with
California political presentation circa 1857.
Heavy beautifully engraved case with a hunting scene on one side and a lake scene
on the other. White enamel dial with fancy gold hands.
Gilt 3/4 plate lever movement with diamond cap jewel to the balance.
A very handsome watch.
Beatty was one of the earliest speakers of the California Assembly.
