Elegant slim two train keywind independent center seconds antique doctor's pocket watch
with duplex escapement by Carter, London, circa 1850.
Silver dial with applied gold decorations and blued steel hands.
Engine turned English case with lever in the band to stop the sweep center seconds.
The gilt bridge movement is probably a Swiss ebauche most likely finished in London with a duplex
escapement and an engraved English style balance cock. A most attractive example in
particularly fine condition.
