Fine, handsome and scarce continental 18K gold fully skeletonized slim quarter
repeater antique watch circa 1810.
The dial center glazed to expose the particularly artistically designed movement with
unusually and pleasingly shaped polished steel work and engraved gilt brass.
White enamel chapter ring (light hairlines) with black numbers and fancy blued steel
and gold hands. The repeat work mounted on the back plate over the delicate balance
cock, all under an engraved and glazed dust cover.
Slim engine turned case with plunger in the pendant to activate the repeater.
When activated, this watch chimes the time using different chime tones to
designate the hours and quarter hours with loud clear tones. And you can watch
it all happening, in fact you can look right through this watch.
