Rare California Watch Co. San Francisco antique silver pocket watch circa 1876.
Engraved Waltham 6 ounce case contemporary with the movement.
White enamel dial with blued steel hands.
Gilt movement #30161 with engraved balance cock.
Early in 1876 the Cornell Watch Co. was reorganized as the California Watch Co. Parts on hand were used which accounts for the Cornell name on the dial. A few months later the company closed and very few watches were produced.
