Oudin Repeater
Fine and rare Charles Oudin 18K gold quarter repeater with original box, probably
made by Louis Audemars, circa 1865.
White enamel dial with gold hands. Engine turned monogrammed case
with edge pocket wear and slide in the band to activate the repeater.
First quality 34 jewel nickel movement jeweled to the center and the hammers
with wolf's tooth winding, counterpoised pallet fork, and gold train wheels.
When activated, this watch chimes the time using different chime tones to
designate the hours and quarter hours with loud clear tones.
Louis Audemars made many watches for Oudin. This watch is very high grade
and of Audemars quality, and it is within his serial number range. It
also has his distinctive “ hook ” extension to the pallet fork.

NOTE: The small circles or shadows in some of our photos
are reflections of the camera lens. Since this watch is much smaller than in the
enlarged photos, a tiny blemish or imperfection that you could not see when looking
at the actual watch can appear very large in the photos.
