Glashutte Watchmaker's School Chronograph
Fine German Glashutte watchmaker's school graduation antique chronograph
pocket watch circa 1906.
Fine white enamel double sunk dial signed Franz Tschida. Red and black numerals
and gold hands. Silver engine turned and engraved case (edge wear) with gold
hinges and the maker's mark of F. Ehehalt, Stuttgart.
The dust cover signed Deutsche Uhrenmacherschule Glashutte.
Very finely finished frosted gilt 3/4 plate movement with gold lever and escape
wheel, engraved cock, and with the chronograph exposed on the back plate.
Only 57 pocket watches with chronograph were made at this renowned school
between 1882 and 1961, and this is the only complicated pocket watch made
there in 1906. A very rare example of German watchmaking history.

NOTE: The small circles or shadows in some of our photos
are reflections of the camera lens. Since this watch is much smaller than in the
enlarged photos, a tiny blemish or imperfection that you could not see when looking
at the actual watch can appear very large in the photos.
