Fine continental 18K gold Breguet style center seconds ruby duplex antique pocket
watch made for the English market circa 1840.
White enamel dial with black numerals and blued steel hands.
Engine turned case with cast and chased bezels, band, pendant and bow. With slide
in the band to start and stop the center sweep seconds hand.
The dust coverengraved with details of the movement and the name of the
London retailer. Gilt 9 jewel bridge movement with ruby duplex locking jewel, bimetallic
curb for temperature compensation, and parachute shockproofing.
