Howard Type III
Fine 18K gold Howard Type III antique keywind hunting case pocket
watch circa 1863.
Gilt 15 jewel movement with maintaining power, Mershon's Patent Regulator,
and banking by a pin mounted on the pallet fork extending thru a hole
in the plate, a design also used by Lange.
White enamel dial with blued steel hands. Very heavy original Benedict
Bros, NY case with wear to the design.
