Fine and scarce nickel damascened Howard Series IV L size 18K gold box hinge hunting
case antique pocket watch circa 1876.
Substantial original plain polish case marked DUHME & CO.
White enamel dial with small imperfection at 60 seconds and blued steel
Howard "umbrella" hands.
Special fully adjusted nickel 15 jewel damascened movement with screwed jewel settings.
According to the Howard records, this movement was part of a short run
of expensive specially finished movements that were more than double the
cost of an average movement.
