Fine and large silver pair case single handed verge alarm watch circa 1690.
The movement is signed "Vindimil, London" which suggests that is is most likely a Dutch or
German watch made for the English market. Fine champlevee dial with blued steel hands.
The outer case covered with leather held with decorative silver pins. The inner case with pierced
and engraved decoration and bell mounted in the back. Silver balance cock with streamers pierced
and engraved with inhabited foliage, the squared foot and regulator plate similarly pierced and
engraved. Egyptian pillars and engraved barrel. Excellent example.
