Very fine and large English silver spring detent pocket chronometer by Roskell, Liverpool,
circa 1838.
White enamel dial with bold black numerals and gold hands. Engine turned case with gold
hinges. Wonderful 14 jewel gilt movement with beautifully engraved balance cock and mainspring plate, large
diamond cap jewel, helical hairspring, the balance with trapezoidal weights and platinum
timing screws. Excellent example in particularly fine condition, the case virtually without
any wear.
