Fine Swiss Benz and Thomas 18K gold one minute flying tourbillion with original
box circa 1970.
Plain polish 18K gold case with glazed back.
White enamel dial with fancy blued steel hands. Engraved nickel movement with
the jewels in screwed settings. Small glazed opening reveals the flying tourbillion
which makes one revolution every minute. This watch is #2 of an edition of ten and comes in
its original oversized fitted wood box with brass hardware and containing spare parts
including a mainspring, crystal, and a spare dial.
This watch is a collaboration between an American master watchmaker, George Thomas
and his Swiss associate, Adolph Benz. Thomas designed the movement and made the
prototype, and Benz had the tourbillion cages made in Switzerland.
