Fine, rare and handsome large continental 18K gold verge and fusee minute repeater
antique pocket watch circa 1810.
Fine gold engine turned dial with decorated chapter ring and enamel minute track. Blued
steel hands. Substantial case with engine turned and decorated back and cast and chased
band. Gilt full plate movement with large pierced and engraved balance cock and two-tone
gongs.
When the pendant is depressed this watch chimes the hours, quarters and minted with
loud and clear tones. Most repeaters from this period strike only the hours and quarters.
Verge and fusee minute repeaters are very rare and this is an excellent example.
